About Brad

Coach, train and equip golfers to achieve their golfing goals and dreams!

Meet Brad Pluth

HIStory: I caddied for my grandfather for an entire summer when I was five before he let me play my first hole. I made an 11 at Hibbing Municipal Golf Course.

I grew up in Blaine, MN and played Bunker Hills as a junior and was truly hooked on the game after competing in my first junior club championships tournament my Freshman year.

The next summer I caddied at North Oaks and eventually wound up on their maintenance team.

I worked in the golf shop at Majestic Oaks through High School and College.

Went to Central College where I played all three-years and graduated with an Economics degree.

Accepted a position at Grand View Lodge working at the Pines and  Preserve Golf Courses after turning down a job offer from the Federal Reserve Bank in Kansas City.

Spent the winter at The Boulders Golf Resort in Carefree, AZ.

Returned to Grand View and later helped open up Troy Burne Golf Club with Craig Waryan.

Spent the next winter at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort and the Intrawest properties where I started studying The Golfing Machine with Tom Stickney II.

Transferred to the Raven in Phoenix to begin teaching.

Moved back to Minnesota to open up The Refuge in Oak Grove.

Invited to join the staff at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, MD and headed East.

These ears heard the bombs of September 11, 2001 and my heart returned home to get married to my wife Becky.

Was an assistant and taught under Bobby Olds at Minnetonka Country Club.

Started after school program that grew to 41 schools.

Next season devoted my time to instruction at Glen Lake Golf and Practice Center where I quadrupled their teaching income.

Decided to go out on my own and started my first academy at Halla Greens. Had Matt Reagan as an intern and he went on to start Operation 36 golf.

Started US Kids Local Tour in Minnesota.

Move to Bluff Creek to start the US National Team Coaching program and PGA Junior Golf Schools.

Currently teaching with Tom Abts at Deer Run.

Golf is a game and games should be fun!

Brad Pluth is an expert in creating golf improvement programs for all ages, ability levels.

I’ve taught over 50,000 golfers in private and groups up to 72 students.

I’ve taught on lesson tees, classrooms, boardrooms, hallways, elevators, parks, fields, in simulators, at airports, at sporting events, in stores an in his backyard.

My goal is to share my enjoyment of the game and train and equip golfers to achieve their goals which is why he started his golf academy, Golf Achievement.

Every golfer has a goal.

To hit it farther, straighter, more consistently.

To lower their competitive scoring average.

Compete.

Make a team.

Play in a corporate event.

And we all want to build relationships!

My philosophy follows Assessing skills and strategies. Aligning peoples goals, motivation and movement patterns. Designing and customizing improvement programs for individuals, groups and teams with the emphasis on developing relationships through the game.

Get started Option 1: On-Course Playing LessonIf you want to lower your score, doesn’t it make sense to assess your strengths and improvement areas where you play, rather than on a flat, perfect lie?
You’ll have the opportunity to ask course strategy, rules and etiquette questions while we play golf. We will explain our four metrics to create a perpetual improvement process.
Golfer’s do not argue with their own data!”

Option 2: Discovery SessionIdentify your natural movement patterns to help you strike the ball farther, straighter and more consistently. Complete a skills assessment of the most common shots to identify your golfing strengths and weaknesses and create a clear path to improvement.
