Post your performance behind your name and taking responsibility for your performance. While there is no room for pictures on the scorecard, you need to post a score for everyone to see.
Mental: emotional management and getting up and down not only around the green, but for each shit as necessary.
excitement/disappointment after making two or three birdies in a row. Choosing what to focus on, the good or the bad. Choosing how to react or forget about the good or the bad shots. Remember, the most important shot you’ll ever hit is the next one!
Leaning how to develop awareness and manage tension. Tension is the biggest destroyer of any swinging motion Relaxing and managing your breathing and choosing purposeful questions, like “What solution do I need?” Will go a long way to developing a growth mindset.
A good walk in nature cleanses the soul. It’s hard to beat walking around a nicely manicured golf course.
Golfers learn to trust their gut and commit to their choice course of action. Goes back to planning your work and working your plan. But trust and confidence comes from hard work, dedication and lots of time honing your craft.
Golf is like physical chess with bad bounces. You are the only one that can move your ball and you get to decide what pieces to use and move.
Lord willing, there will be another day and more opportunities to learn. But don’t take it for granted and get out and play and enjoy developing relationships!
